Accessing your server for the first time

Thank you for choosing our services for your virtual server needs. This guide describes how to log into your new linux server for the first time.
All our servers come with SSH enabled by default, running on default port 22.
To login to your server, you will need to has an SSH client. A popular one is Putty and can be found here: https://www.putty.org/
To login via SSH we need to obtain the following 3 pieces of information: 

 

  • IP Address of the server
  • Username
  • Password
To obtain the above, perform the following steps:
  1. Login into your account or use the credentials that were sent to you by email.
  2. Your will find your Main IP address and Root Password there
  3. Your username is: root

TIP: To PASTE into putty simply copy the text you want to paste, then do a single mouse right click within the putty window
With the above information you will now be able to login to your linux vps server with any SSH client
